Calpe is so much more than just the iconic Pe\u00f1\u00f3n de Ifach – the coastline of this Costa Blanca town boasts dozens of beaches and coves: from wide sandy beaches to cozy coves and hidden rocky beaches.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Whether you’re traveling with children, looking for peace and quiet, or prefer something more lively, Calpe has it all. Below you’ll find the beaches and coves in Calpe.<\/p>\n\n

The most famous beaches<\/h2>\n\n

Playa de la Fossa \/ Playa Levante<\/h3>\n\n

This is Calpe’s main beach \u2013 over 950 meters long, with fine golden sand and a wide promenade. Perfect for families: the sea slopes gently, there’s lifeguard service, amenities such as restrooms and wheelchair-accessible paths, a lifeguard, and even an outdoor cinema in the summer.<\/p>\n\n

Playa del Arenal-Bol<\/h3>\n\n

This beach is located on the other side of the city – over 1.2 kilometers long, with fine golden sand and calmer waters, ideal for families and those seeking peace and quiet. Behind the beach is a pleasant promenade with restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, and shops. Convenient for a whole day of beach time and lunch.<\/p>\n\n

Playa del Cantal Roig<\/h3>\n\n

A compact stretch of beach (\u00b1 200 metres) close to the marina, ideal if you want to take a quick dip or watch the boats.<\/p>\n\n

The coves & hidden spots (for those seeking peace and quiet)<\/h2>\n\n

You don’t have to lie on a crowded beach to enjoy Calpe. There are numerous small coves and quiet spots where you can relax and\/or snorkel!<\/p>\n\n

Cala Calalga<\/h3>\n\n

Small sand\/stone alley about 100 metres long on the north side of Playa de la Fossa.<\/p>\n\n

Cala del Mallorqu\u00ed<\/h3>\n\n

Super small (30 meters), between the marina and Calalga. It’s a kind of hidden gem.<\/p>\n\n

Cala La Manzanera<\/h3>\n\n

A smaller pebble beach between the town and the marina; you’ll find striking architecture all around, including buildings designed by a renowned architect (the famous pink complex).<\/p>\n\n

Other coves & bays<\/h2>\n\n

Besides the above, there are many smaller bays and hidden corners:<\/p>\n\n

  • Cove del Morell\u00f3: sandy beach, easily accessible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Cala Les Bassetes \u2014 calm waters, ideal for snorkeling or diving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Smaller coves such as Cala Les Urques, Cove Gasparet (only accessible by boat), Cala del Penyal and Cala El Rac\u00f3 – all corners where peace, nature and sea come together.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
